Want a challenge try to learn to Play Golf

Golf is gentleman’s game. It has a very classy appeal to it. What most people do not know, is that it is extremely competitive and very hard to play. I know if your just watching your saying, how hard is it to hit a little ball with a big club. Well it’s very hard.

To have success Playing Golf; you have to be able to control your entire body all the way through each process of a Golf Swing. This is much harder than you think. You have to make sure you have the basics down, from how you stand, to how you hold the club, to how you position your body as you pull back then swing forward.

Not to mention, you have to aim and hit the ball hard enough to try to get close to the green. You are doing all these things at the same time. Most people do not have the concentration level it takes to do this. Let’s not mention in golf you have to adjust to the weather also.

The wind can be your greatest enemy, or friend it all depends. The things I have spoken about so far are just the basics of your tee off. Once you are in the fairway you have a whole bunch of new obstacles to climb. You have to see how far you are from the green, then pick a iron to try to make it to that distance. Then you have to hit the ball off of the ground flat; and that’s if your not in the bushes or some sand.

Swinging your irons are different from swinging your clubs. So this to has to be learned and mastered. This is what’s called your middle game. Then lastly you make it to the green, and now you have yet another obstacle to climb to put the ball into the whole. This is called the short game.

People have different opinions about what’s most important. Most people can not do all three well. By that I mean, most people can not hit their driver well, hit from the middle well and have a solid short game. Those who do are either pros or play everyday.

That’s how hard golf really is. It takes practice and most of all good coaching or instructions. Golf is not a game you want to learn the wrong way. If you pick up bad habits in golf they are hard to break. Now if you get the right information about how to properly swing a golf club from the beginning then your on your way to posting decent scores.

Now with all this negative you may say well why play. The answer to that is because it’s fun as all get out! Even if you suck at golf you will have a great time while your stinking up the place. It’s great to grab 3 or 4 buddies and just spend time outdoors hanging and playing.

Golf is also a great game for the corporate business man. Take a potential client or your boss out to the course and if you can play a little, that will go a long ways for you.

A phenomenon when first published in 1972, the Inner Game was a real revelation. Instead of serving up technique, it concentrated on the fact that, as Gallwey wrote, “Every game is composed of two parts, an outer game and an inner game.” The former is played against opponents, and is filled with lots of contradictory advice; the latter is played not against, but within the mind of the player…

Dave Pelz’s Short Game Bible

Dave Pelz’s Short Game Bible is the first book in a four-book series, The Dave Pelz Scoring Game Series. The next volume in the series will be Dave Pelz’s Putting Bible. He who rules the short game collects the gold. –Dave Pelz’s Golden Rule of Golf Fed up with trying to imitate the pros, buying the latest expensive equipment, and seeing your handicap stay the same? The first book by bestselling author and internationally revered golf instructor Dave Pelz since Putt Like the Pros, his bestselling classic, Dave Pelz’s Short Game Bible can show you the way to lower scores by improving your short game. The result of decades of scientific research studying thousands of golfers, Dave’s philosophy is as simple as it is revolutionary and groundbreaking: Instead of practicing the wrong things the right way, or the right things the wrong way, Pelz shows you how to find your own personal weaknesses and how to improve them to efficiently lower your scores. Packed with all the knowledge, charts, and photos needed to learn from the master, Dave Pelz’s Short Game Bible is the essential book for every golfer who’s looking to improve his or her game. Dave’s approach to golf is easy to understand: 80 percent of the strokes golfers lose to par are determined by their play within 100 yards of the green–the crucial scoring game. The most important and yet the least focused-on aspect of golf, your short game, can indeed make or break your entire game. And nobody teaches the short game like Dave Pelz. His renowned golf schools and clinics focus exclusively on putting and the short game, attracting top players like Tom Kite, Colin Montgomerie, two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen, reigning PGA champion Vijay Singh, Steve Elkington, Payne Stewart, Peter Jacobsen, and many LPGA players including Annika Sorenstam and Liselotte Neumann. The pros know, as you are about to learn, that while others teach golfers how to swing, Dave Pelz teaches golfers how to score . . . and

The Lost Lore of a Man's Life

The Lost Lore of a Man’s Life

$13

To restore men’s rightful heritage, Denis Boyles and Gregg Stebben, the coauthors of A Man’s Life: The Complete Instructions, have compiled a priceless treasury of forgotten lore and rustic hobbies that our forefathers possessed but that we have lost. Culled from turn-of-the-century publications and old scouting-type manuals, this guide is written in our grandfathers’ language, with their sensibility and wisdom. Since the outdoors is one place where almost all good advice is old advice, the focus is on a man’s life lived outdoors camping, hunting, and fishing. With these instructions and advice, man can once again learn how to build a fly fishing rod, shoot a rifle with both eyes open, hit a flying target, start a fire without matches, travel light – but right, keep cool when lost, splice a rope, catch a pig, predict the weather from the color of the sky, rescue someone drowning, send a smoke signal, track a bobcat or a moose, build a log cabin, buy and sort fishing hooks, make a canoe, choose the perfect tent, plan a one-day hike, play golf on a five-acre meadow … and much, much more. With its mix of essential and extraordinary vintage wisdom, The Lost Lore of a Man’s Life is a must for every man’s back pocket and backpack.

Tricks And Tips For Learning And Playing Golf Like The Pro’s: Beginner Golf Game Tips To Improve Your Golf Game Plus Even More Great Golf Tips For Choosing Quality Cheap Golf Clubs And Other Discount Golf Equipment So You Can Learn Golf While Saving Time

$3.99

When starting out with golf whether as a hobby or as a professional sport, it is always best to learn first hand some very helpful tips and the basic tricks of the game as they are the most important lessons out of everything else. Here are some of the practical rules of the game:1. When you are just starting out, do not buy brand new golf clubs that cost a fortune. For one thing, your skills may be as yet inadequate for what the clubs are worth. Rent out your golf clubs first as a test run and if you are sure that you would really like to pursue golf for long-term then invest initially on second hand golf clubs. 2. Golf will require you to spend a lot of hours under the strong heat of the sun. Sunburn can cause serious skin conditions in the long run. Never forget to put on sunscreen no matter how long you plan to go under the sun to play golf. 3. Do some stretching exercises before you go out for practice or play a game. Stretching will warm up your muscles and prevent back strain after a long game run. Stretching also flexes the muscles and helps out your range of motion so you can achieve longer shots. 4. It’s also common sense that if you’re learning to play golf, then you will need to familiarize yourself with the rules of the game. Learn USGA/R&A and local rules especially when playing competitively.

Venus on the Fairway: Creating a Swing-And a Game-

$116.98

Despite the distinct differences in the way women and men should swing a golf club, golf instruction has almost always been presented from the male perspective. In Venus on the Fairway, Debbie Steinbach bridges that instructional gender gap by teaching a body-and-mind method for women only. With the aid of step-by-step instruction, helpful photography, and simple visual keys, women golfers will learn to play better golf by keeping things simple–from basic grip and setup fundamentals to the full swing. Rather than overload the reader with highly technical swing instruction, Steinbach emphasizes practical drills that teach how to feel key swing movements, reinforced by a simple and positive teaching style. Steinbach also helps readers choose the right equipment, explains essential rules and etiquette tips, and offers useful advice on playing with male counterparts. For women entering the game for the first time or anyone looking for a fresh start, Venus on the Fairway teaches an improved method and ensures that they have fun while learning.
